Terms of service

These terms cover your use of EduXbd, whether you are buying, selling or simply browsing.

1. Who we are

EduXbd is an online marketplace for education in Bangladesh. Teachers and students use it to publish and sell live classes, recorded courses, notes, question papers, solutions and other study material, and to buy that material from each other.

EduXbd provides the platform. Except where we say otherwise, we are not the author, publisher or teacher of the material sold through it — the seller is.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date. One person, one account. Do not share your password or let anybody else use your account.

Every account starts as a student account. To sell material or teach on EduXbd you must apply, and we must approve the application. We may ask for a national ID or passport, proof of your institution, and your qualification certificates.

You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you think somebody else has access to it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we believe is being used fraudulently, or that repeatedly attracts justified reports from other users.

3. Your content and copyright

You keep ownership of everything you upload. By publishing on EduXbd you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, promote and deliver that material to buyers on the platform.

You must own the material you upload, or have permission from whoever does. Uploading scanned textbooks, publisher question banks, official solution manuals, or another person's notes without their permission is not allowed and will get the listing rejected and, if repeated, the account closed.

Every listing is reviewed by a moderator before it is published. We may reject, unpublish or remove any listing, with a reason, at our discretion — in particular where we believe it infringes somebody's copyright, is misleading, or is otherwise unsuitable.

If you believe material on EduXbd infringes your copyright, contact us with details of the work and the listing and we will investigate and remove it where the claim is justified.

4. Buying on EduXbd

Prices are shown in Bangladeshi taka and include any platform fee. When you buy, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the material for your own study. You may not resell it, republish it, or share it publicly.

Purchases stay available in your account. If a seller unpublishes a listing after you have bought it, you keep access to your copy.

Live classes and batches are delivered by the teacher, not by EduXbd. Timetables, cancellations and rescheduling are the teacher's responsibility, though we will step in where a teacher persistently fails to deliver what was sold.

5. Selling, commission and payouts

Sellers set their own prices. EduXbd charges a platform commission on each completed sale. The commission is currently 25% of the sale price, and the seller keeps the rest. The rate in force at any time is the one shown on your Earnings page, and we will give notice before changing it.

Earnings accumulate in your dashboard. You may request a payout to a supported mobile financial service or bank account. We may hold a payout while we investigate a report, a chargeback or a suspected fraudulent sale.

You are responsible for your own tax obligations on what you earn through EduXbd.

6. Refunds

Because material is delivered digitally and immediately, sales are generally final. We will refund a purchase where the file is materially different from what the listing described, is corrupt or unreadable, is substantially incomplete, or was never delivered.

Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase, through the report or support route in your dashboard. Where a refund is granted, the corresponding amount is deducted from the seller's earnings.

7. Prohibited use

You must not: upload material you do not have the right to sell; sell exam papers obtained before an exam, or anything else that facilitates cheating; impersonate another person, teacher or institution; harass, threaten or abuse other users; scrape, copy or resell the EduXbd catalogue; attempt to bypass payment; or upload malware, illegal content, or content that is obscene, hateful or otherwise unlawful in Bangladesh.

Arranging payment off-platform to avoid commission, after meeting through EduXbd, is a breach of these terms.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep EduXbd available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EduXbd is not liable for the quality, accuracy or educational outcome of material sold by third-party sellers, nor for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. Where a change is significant we will notify account holders. Continuing to use EduXbd after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms, copyright complaints and refund requests can be raised through the help section of your dashboard, and we will route them to the right team.
